ABOUT THE FILM
Collin (Daveed Diggs) must make it through his final three days of probation for a chance at a new beginning. He and his troublemaking childhood best friend, Miles (Rafael Casal), work as movers, and when Collin witnesses a police shooting, the two men’s friendship is tested as they grapple with racial identity and their changed realities in the rapidly-gentrifying neighborhood they grew up in. Directed by Carlos López Estrada and written by Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs, Blindspotting premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018 and was an official selection of SXSW Film Festival the same year.
Immediately following the screening on Friday, February 22, there will be an in-person conversation with Blindspotting screenwriter/actor Rafael Casal and Dr. Atyia Martin, CEO & Founder, All Aces, Inc. and Distinguished Senior Fellow, Global Resilience Institute at Northeastern University, moderated by Isaac Feldberg from The Boston Globe.
