Engage

THE ARTS BELONG TO EVERYONE.

One of ArtsEmerson’s core beliefs is that the arts belong to everyone.

Overcoming the exclusionary tendencies of art requires building institutions where civic engagement isn’t a program but is the DNA of the organizational infrastructure.

From hosting Play Reading Book Clubs, neighborhood performances, and public dialogues to making tickets affordable and holding Welcome to Boston Cast Parties around the city, ArtsEmerson provides opportunities for people to connect with artists, ideas, and each other.

THE ARTS BELONG EVERYWHERE.

Since its founding ArtsEmerson has made it a priority to reach new audiences, provide access to the artists, and democratize the pleasures and provocation of contemporary world theater.

ArtsEmerson presents curators producing events that range from a live music benefit, to film screenings, to moderated discussions to a fashion show.

            Artist Residencies

Every year ArtsEmerson invites an artist (or artists) to be part of our Artist Residencies program to support their work, bring new voices and perspectives to the creative process, and facilitate meaningful engagement between artists and the community.
