Breath and Imagination is the story of Roland Hayes, the son of slaves who sang for kings and queens.  Although the play is not a strict biography of Hayes’s life, many of the events you’ll see on stage actually did happen – some of them, right here in Boston.  Here is a timeline of some key events from the life of our own hometown hero, Roland Hayes: the celebrated American tenor.
