The Migration: Stories From Our Community

We’ve been lucky enough to partner with Justin Springer as we get ready to welcome Step Afrika!’s The Migration here in Boston in May. As Justin and ArtsEmerson continue to talk to Boston community members about The Migration, it’s apparent how significant this history is to our city. A few of those community members have shared their stories, talents, and excitement surrounding not only the upcoming performance, but also the impact The Great Migration had on them personally.

We’re so inspired by our neighbors for willing to share their voices and we hope that we’ve inspired you to come out to see The Migration: Reflections on Jacob Lawrence in the Cutler Majestic Theatre from May 3 -6.  For more videos, be sure to keep an eye on our YouTube page as we continue to connect with the amazing individuals of Boston.
