The 3rd Annual World Alive! Celebration
ArtsEmerson celebrated our 3rd annual The World Alive! Celebration in support of its Annual Operating Fund on March 7th, 2019. An evening filled with generosity and special guest performers, including African jazz, soul, and pop artist Somi and world renown circus performers The 7 Fingers from Montreal. It was a night of festivities and celebrating a legacy of ArtsEmerson programming.
ArtsEmerson’s Annual Operating Fund allows the organization to continue presenting inspiring and impactful theatre that speaks to the true essence of ArtsEmerson: international in scope, generative in spirit, and additive to the community. Through this fund, ArtsEmerson is building a community and starting conversation that connects the city of Boston with artists who want to make a difference in the world.
This year, ArtsEmerson honored Petrina Hackett Cherry, Alyce and Patrick Lee, and David Maister and visionary Ted Cutler, individuals who exemplify ArtsEmerson as community builders and stalwart theatrical supporters. Thanks to the maven’s dedication, outreach, and advocacy, the 3rd Annual World Alive! Celebration achieved larger audiences and raised more funds than ever before.
