A Visit with The 7 Fingers

This past weekend, we were lucky enough to have a few cast members from The 7 Fingers’ upcoming U.S. premiere of Passengers (SEP 25 – OCT 13) join us in Boston to lead a few community workshops, talk with press, and share the artistry and joy of circus.

Colton Bradford from NBC learns learns how to support Sabine on his shoulders.

Throughout the weekend, we were able to sit down not only with a number of local Boston press, but also with several community partners. The 7 Fingers led two workshops, one with Boston Explorers Camp, an urban camp for children ages 6-15 where they use the city of Boston as their classroom. Several students were able to join us at the Cutler Majestic Theatre and get to see a snippet of choreography from Passengers.

The 7 Fingers also led an acro-dance workshop at Esh Circus Arts in Somerville, where fellow circus professionals were able to learn techniques and choreography used in the show. We’re excited to partner with Esh throughout the run of Passengers and to continue working with the circus community here in Boston! It was a wonderful melding of worlds to see our local artists learning and collaborating with international artists, sharing the mats with one another.

We’ll be collecting the press coverage from this trip on this post, so be sure to check back to learn more about Passengers, arriving in Boston SEP 25 – OCT 13 at the Cutler Majestic Theatre!
