Coming to Our Stages in 2026
It’s hard to believe that 2025 is almost over! We’ve had a phenomenal first half of our season with stunning performances from around the country and world, and now we are eagerly preparing for all that is to come in the new year.
Let’s take a look at the shows that are coming to ArtsEmerson for the second half of our 25/26 season!
January 29-February 1
Kicking off the new year is Noli Timere, a visually breathtaking circus-theatre production that lies somewhere between sculpture and dance. Performers soar across nets suspended above the stage, creating a living, shifting architecture of bodies in motion. But beyond the spectacle, Noli Timere carries a poignant message: how we hold one another through life’s biggest leaps and sudden drops. It’s a meditation on trust and the invisible threads that bind us. It appeals to both lovers of athletic performance and audiences who crave poetic, visually driven storytelling. This is our first show at the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theater and it runs from January 29-February 1!

February 20–22
From February 20-22, ArtsEmerson will welcome Ahamefule J. Oluo for their incredible solo performance: The Things Around Us. Part memoir, part music, and part stand-up comedy, the piece follows Oluo as he constructs a full musical score live onstage. Looping trumpet lines, layering percussion from found objects, and weaving humor through deeply personal stories, usher on the third installment of this autobiographical trilogy. Audiences can expect an evening that shifts fluidly from laughter to vulnerability, all while showcasing Oluo’s unmatched musicianship.

March 2–8
One of the most anticipated productions of the season, Dead as a Dodo comes from the internationally acclaimed puppet theatre company Wakka Wakka. This imaginative, unexpectedly moving musical follows a skeletal dodo and a young boy on a journey through the underworld. Dead as a Dodo explores extinction and memory, as well as the deep human hope. This one is not to be missed!

March 21–April 4
Mfoniso Udofia’s powerful Ufot Family Cycle — a nine-play exploration of a Nigerian-American family across generations — arrives at its penultimate chapter with In Old Age at the Emerson Paramount Center from March 21-April 4. This installment centers on Abasiama, now elderly and living alone, and her unlikely relationship with a gentle, devout carpenter who arrives to repair her home. What begins as an intrusion becomes an unexpected path toward healing, reckoning, and human connection. Presented in collaboration with Boston’s own Front Porch Arts Collective, In Old Age continues ArtsEmerson’s commitment to sharing narratives rooted in identity and resilience.
April 24–May 3
Concluding the 25/26 Season is the The Secret Sharer, the world premiere adaptation of Joseph Conrad’s famous novella. In this immersive reimagining from DNAWORKS, the story of a ship’s captain and a mysterious stowaway becomes a platform for examining identity, secrecy, and solidarity in an increasingly fragmented world. Expect movement based storytelling and a narrative that blurs the boundary between stage and audience.

What show in the second half of the season are you most looking forward to? Tickets for the remaining 5 productions are all available for purchase, which can be done online, over the phone, or in person at the Box Office. We look forward to seeing you at the theater in 2026!
