5 Local Spots to Try Before SpaceBridge!

As we prepare to welcome SpaceBridge to the ArtsEmerson stage this November, we’ve put together a map of Russian and Eastern European Businesses to check out in Boston. Theater is one way to explore a new world—food is another! Below are five spots to check out in the greater Boston area:

Bazaar International Gourmet (Brookline)

A staple for Boston’s Russian and Eastern European community, Bazaar International Gourmet has been around for more than three decades. The market is packed with imported goods: smoked fish, cured meats, pickled vegetables, chocolates, and fresh-baked breads.

Cafe St. Petersburg (Newton)

Known for its warm atmosphere, Café St. Petersburg serves up classic Russian dishes like borscht, pelmeni, and beef stroganoff. With occasional live music and a traditional menu, this neighborhood favorite is a must-visit.

Solodko Boston (Walpole)

This Ukrainian-owned bakery and café specializes in handmade pastries, cakes, and desserts. From honey cakes to fruit-filled pirozhki, this is a great spot for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Bazaar On Cambridge (Allston)

A sister store to the Brookline location, Bazaar On Cambridge is a smaller market with the same focus on authentic imported foods. Both spots feature delicious prepared meals for anyone in a hurry, or simply looking to try something new!

Baza Gourmet Food & Spirits (Newton)

Baza Gourmet offers a wide selection of international wines and spirits alongside its grocery aisles. It’s especially known for its variety of Eastern European vodkas and extensive hot bar selection.

SpaceBridge will come to the Emerson Paramount Center for a limited run from November 21-23! This is an incredibly moving and poignant show, so be sure to secure your seats now through our website, over the phone, or in person at the box office. We look forward to seeing you soon!
