Tonight at ArtsEmerson: One Voice, Many Frequencies!

Join us tonight (Feb 12) only for One Voice, Many Frequencies, a free-to-the-public dialogue event that explores how contemporary solo work is dynamically redefining the boundaries between music, theater, storytelling, and community engagement.

This Fresh Sounds event centers on acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Ahamefule J. Oluo, whose upcoming performance The Things Around Us blends live trumpet, humor, and storytelling. Along side Oluo are other voices from Boston’s creative scene, including Amanda Shea, Tim Hall, and Cliff Notez, who will discuss how solo performance is being reimagined right now by artists who are making the work by shaping scenes, building communities, and inspiring the next generation of performers.

One Voice, Many Frequencies is free to the public with an RSVP, but seating is first-come, first-served on arrival at the Semel Theater at 10 Boylston Place in Downtown Boston (in the Emerson Tufte Performance & Production Center). The conversation begins at 7pm but we recommend attendees arrive early to ensure entry.

ArtsEmersone encourages all those who attend One Voice, Many Frequencies, as well as those who are unable to, to join us for Ahamefule J. Oluo’s The Things Around Us, running from February 20-22 at the Emerson Paramount Center. Tickets for this performance are on sale now!
