The New York Times just declared it a Critic’s Pick and it’s in Boston NEXT WEEK ONLY!

Cheek by Jowl and Pushkin Theatre’s Measure for Measure (OCT 24-28) has been sweeping the nation in its US Premiere Tour, amazing audiences and creating an American following as our political scene unfolds before us. With the midterm elections in just a few weeks and the recent Supreme Court nomination, director Declan Donnelan and designer Nick Ormend’s Measure for Measure, “is vivid & uncommonly moving…unsettling poignancy.”

The New York Times named this specific production a Critic’s Pick today as it continues its run in New York City at the BAM Harvey Theatre until OCT 21. The production had a previous tour stop in Washington DC at the Kennedy Center.

“That’s true, too, of ‘Measure for Measure,’ a strange tangle of a play that Mr. Donnellan and Mr. Ormerod have treated with compassionate insight. Building to a sad, unsettling poignancy, their production manages to encompass the whole point of life — and the terrible, foolish risk of missing out on that.” –The New York Times (OCT 18, 2018)

This masterful rendition of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure comes to Boston for the first time next Wednesday, for one week only! Tickets are on sale for all performances, OCT 24-28 at the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre.
