Climate Justice Organizations in Massachusetts

The Seasons, co-presented with the Boston Lyric Opera, is a re-imagining of Vivaldi’s best known work that is set in the near future where seasons are out of order. Since climate change is a theme of The Seasons, we are highlighting several of the many climate-focused organizations in Boston and Massachusetts.

Two carrotsGrowBoston: A city initiative, GrowBoston aims to support local food production in Boston. GrowBoston contains resources for those interested in food production including education through an ambassador program. There is also a directory for community gardens, which cost a small annual fee to participate in, and urban farms. Sustainable farming and local food production, especially in urban areas, are important in combatting climate change.
