LEARN MORE ABOUT PARABLE PATH
Since presenting the concert performance Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower in 2017, ArtsEmerson has been honored to continue deep work with the production’s composer, Toshi Reagon, and her commitment to social justice and community engagement.
Especially in this current moment, it is clear that the lessons of Parable of the Sower remain ever more present and that society has much more growth to pursue. At ArtsEmerson, we have felt that call to growth which inspired our Together Apart series and our transparency with our audiences through our Town Halls with Artistic Director David Dower and Executive Director David C. Howse.
Throughout these circumstances, we have remained dedicated to curating community online and hope that when we are allowed to gather, we can continue this curation in physical and digital spaces. That is why we are thrilled to announce Parable Path Boston, Toshi Reagon’s year-long artist initiative with Emerson College centralized around the message and creative process of Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower.
All that you touch you change. All that you change changes you.
If you haven’t already, make sure to register for the Together Apart series to receive updates, access links, and viewing reminders.
As we continue to navigate through these unfortunate circumstances, we hope you will consider making a gift to ArtsEmerson by clicking here. Your generosity will help us deliver inspired programming to the comfort of your own homes while sustaining us for the future when we can commune in our theatres once again.
I really wanted to see the Parable of the Sower, registered, did the whole bit, was informed that I could watch it on the blog, but the ‘watch now’ never appeared, and I just could not figure out how to get to see it. That is horribly disappointing. Why didn’t it just have a ‘watch now’ or ‘to watch go to…..”.
Hi Naomi, The show has just started and you can watch right here on the blog! The blog post you commented on has the video to watch the stream, as well as a link to our YouTube and FB where it is also streaming.
