Little Amal Photo Gallery

Here is our photo gallery from our event with Little Amal, which took place on September 7 across Rowes Wharf, Dewey Square, and Chinatown. Little Amal is the 12-foot-tall puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl. She has been walking across the world to raise awareness for refugees.

Thanks for a wonderful time. Loved dancing and carrying the sunflower and seeing people and the walk with amal

September 7th was a very special day! (albeit hot…bless the puppeteers, especially the man inside Amal!) I met up with Amal in Dewey Square; walked with her to the Chinatown gate (caught a glimpse of myself in the video!?). Had a bite to eat in Downtown Crossing, jumped on the Red lien to Harvard, back on the Redline to say goodnight near South Station. (The video with YoYo Ma took my breath away.)

Walking to the area to say goodnight I helped a couple lost trying to get to South Station. I convinced them to stay to meet Amal if they had time. They did, and loved meeting her! I gave her the postcard I had received and they plan to meet Amal again when she ends her US visit in San Diego as they live nearby!

Thank you for a very special Day. (I was blessed and privileged to volunteer on Lesvos for many months..and met many wonderful Syrian, other nationalities, Girls. I “watched” from afar when Amal visited Lesvos. This was especially poignant for me…)
