I have never been so moved by an individual as I was by Travis Alabanza. Their story taught me so much more than I realized I needed to know. My grandson revealed his gender identity a little over a year ago at the age of ten. I want to know what I can do to help him as he navigates his world. I want to thank Travis for bringing their story to us. I want you to know that I will be an ally and I will protect you (plural) with a grandmother’s fierce devotion.
