Congratulations to Moby Dick and Plexus Polaire, Winner of a 2024 Elliot Norton Award!
ArtsEmerson wants to be the first to extend a huge congratulations to Plexus Polaire and their recent performance of Moby Dick, which has been awarded with the 2024 Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Visiting Production! The show was honored on May 20th at the Huntington Theatre.
This reimagined telling of Herman Melville’s classic tale wowed ArtsEmerson audiences in January with a sold-out run. Moby Dick was quite the visual feat, featuring a live orchestra, video productions, and made-to-scale puppets, including one of the Great White Whale itself.
The Elliot Norton Awards are presented annually by the Boston Theater Critics Association. The awards honor the outstanding productions, directors, designers, and performers whose work audiences have seen on Greater Boston stages throughout the season. ArtsEmerson has had the honor of presenting multiple Elliot Norton Award winners in the past, including On Beckett, Burgerz, Dreaming Zenzile, Detroit Red, The End of TV, Measure for Measure, HOME, Mala, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Ernest Shackleton Loves Me, Mies Julie, Metamorphosis, Mabou Mines Dollhouse, and more.
